Brukner Nature Center

I decided to take a trip to a local nature center that I had not been to since I was a child! I REALLY enjoyed myself! Here are some pictures from my trip. Sadly the owls and eagles were in cages and the bars made it REALLY hard to focus, and the bars mess up the pics.

Re: Brukner Nature Center

Nice set of images Katie. Great colors on the tortoise I can relate to you regarding trying to photograph the birds in the cages, i had the exact same problem when visiting the Bird of prey centre in Shuttleworth last year.
Do you know what the bird in image 6 is?? He looks all snug with all those feathers

Re: Brukner Nature Center

I have the same picture twice! Lost the birdie in picture 6 and 7 is a male Northern Bobwhite Quail. There was a male and female and about 3 little blue eggs so babies are coming! lol. These are very little birds, but have a very loud call, can be heard miles away!

Re: Brukner Nature Center

It's very difficult when trying to shoot through a cage or wire.

Looks like you had a good selection to look at though, I like the little bird in shot 6.
