The snowflake

This morning I tried to capture the details of a snowflake. I didn't realize how tough it really was. The sun is shining very bright today which made the reflection even worse. I wanted to get the soft side vs the icy side. Oh well, this is one that I will continue to try and master!
My hottie's comment, "it doesn't look like a very good shot of a snowflake babe". I am determined to get this! If you zoom in you may see a bit more detail.

Something i have not tried myself yet. I think you have done well on your 1st attempt at snowflakes. Snow is hard at the best of times, with it being white, and the added issue of a bright sunny day. I like the shape of the one in your 1st image And there are quite a few shapes showing in your 2nd image.

I would try a snow Macro but everytime I bring it indoors to shoot it melts.
