Re: Pigeons

Great shots of the birds [all the other threads too]

How do you keep the pigeons away from the bird table?

I was at my Dad's yesterday and all that was ever there was the pigeons.

My Dad aid the otherbirds dont come anymore.

Thanks Jols

We don't actually have a bird table. They're sort of wire nets full of nuts that hang down. The pigeons only feed on the stuff that's dropped by the other birds above them.
I don't know if they can actually hang on to the nets like the other birds.
Maybe they just can't be bothered!

I'd certainly try the hanging net idea, and see if that encourages more birds back to the garden. I showed in a previous post that we also get some squirrels coming in too, although I waited ages for one yesterday, dying to get one on my new lens, but typically, not a sausage!!

Those are some great bird shots on all your threads MD, Could you send the Goldfinch my way please? I've never seen one never mind photographed one before. You also managed to capture a Great Tit and Goldfinch in the same shot, great stuff. Bet you are really pleased with your new lens.
