A Rose by any other name .....

What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;

I know I have gone texture crazy, but I love it, and it is such fun!!!

LOL don't be sorry MelodyI think I may have gone a bit too over the top with this one But I like experimenting with my pics, Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and it is a case of in the morning I am not so sure, liked it last night, now not so sure.
If at first you don't succeed and all that, still going to have another bash with this rose pic

Hey, I want people to be honest, otherwise how can I learn xxxxxx

Re: A Rose by any other name .....

I quiet like it apart from the seal thing in the upper right corner.

Think you are like me and sometimes push the amendment to extream and when you do some will like it some will not, like my image of Saxon that I tried to turn into a pencil drawing, some did and some didn't.

It won't stop me playing with my shots and I don't think it will you, well I do hope not anyway it is nice to have others around just to prove if you are mad you are not alone.

Re: A Rose by any other name .....

Thanks for all the comments.

Yes, I think you either like this pic or you don't

I just love the fact that you can take a simple photo of a rose, and transform it into a completely different image

Snapper.... NOooooo!! I won't stop editing my pics, I am fascinated by it. I love learning all these new techniques, it's great fun. I love creating something completely differtent, your very own piece of art I am reading about Orton effect, so expect some of them next

Still trying HDR, need more practice though

Clairelou.... I knew you'd like it, there are three different texture layers, plus I use a dark strokes filter on the rose, and then an ink line filter over the whole image to make it more like a drawing. I may have done more, I can't remember, Ithink I need to start writing the steps down, so I know how I did it!

Thank you for the comments xxxxxxxx
