I like the flower - and feel it could possible stand alone by its own merit - IMO I find the PPwork overpowers such an unusual and beautiful flower.

Jack, I am sure you could do a much better job, showing a detailed study of the flower, but that wasn't what I was trying to convey

I achieved what I wanted, so am very happy with my image.and I love the PP.

All the Post Processing was done in Lightroom 2.0. using one of my own Presets, it works best on lighter subjects that you want add drama too.

For those who are interested, here are the adjustments....

Temp and Tint +17

Exp -0.05
Recovery 15
Fill Light 40
Black 40

Brightness +45
Contrast +73

Clarity 15
Vibrance +40
Saturation -48

Split Toning

Highlights 60 &31
Balance +55
Shadows 55 & 0

Vignette
-100
Midpoint 20

Sorry

If you do have Lightroom, and enter those values into the sliders, that is my Preset/Action I used, to get this result. Basically it involves, increasing the Blacks, and contrast, some Split toning, knocking back the Saturation.
