Not Fireworks, but Sparklers

Okay, I cheated not Fireworks, as I was letting them off, so I took some shots of the kids Sparklers, I took loads all sorts of mad patterns, these are just a few

First time I have ever taken shots in the dark, the camera was handheld, I can't get on with Tripods

Re: Not Fireworks, but Sparklers

Thank you xxxx

I really do have very steady hands, and I have tried two Tripods now, and I just can't get to using them So it was a case of just keeping still

Well I'm seriously impressed! For me it's either IS or a tripod anytime the exposure goes below 1/60

Re: Not Fireworks, but Sparklers

well done for trying something new moonie!

you know the bizarre thing at last nights firework display is that there was a public announcement saying that Sparklers were not allowed as they contravened health & safety regulations!!! i ask you, what next - full protective apparel while playing conkers!

Re: Not Fireworks, but Sparklers

Thank you everyone xxx

I know Jack, it is daft, as long as you are sensible and watch what the kids do, I think they are okay. I have a bucket of cold water at their feet and they just drop them straight in there when finished.

As for conkers, I do believe some schools have banned them and some do make kids wear eye goggles before they are allowed to play. I feel sorry for my kids, they just don't have the freedom I had as a kid
