Beautiful Dawn, love the shots and love the breed. I too am suprised at the f stop and thought it would have been wider (lower) but then I am a learner if not a beginner.

Thanks all. Yes I must say the background blur at that aperture is quite good, but the lens is known for it. Its relatively cheap in lens terms (under £200) but i do like the portrait shots it gives me. My next one will be the equivilent with IS.
