Portraits of a breed.

Did these for folks at the show yesterday. All Borders Im afraid as it was a Border show! ;D

3rd one down is stunning! I love the detail and expression in the eyes!!! What arperture did you have it on to get that lovely blurred background? (I'm not the most technical!)

Thats a bigger apeture number than I would have expected, but I am a newbie! Something else I've noticed is that lovely sharp focus on the faces on the last couple, and how the rest of the body is softly out of focus, is that the f stop too?

Dawn fantastic shots,my fave are the last two, fantastic expressions on all of the dogs faces too. I bet the owners will love them aswell. You have really caught the texture of their fur.Thanks for sharing these.

Yes I usually use 5.6 or slightly higher for portraits. The lens is not an expensive one but its really good for the portrait stuff. I used evaluative metering too, and focused on the eyes.

Thank you MS. I showed for a friend, we didnt get anything, I managed to pick the biggest class of the day with 28 in it!!! Good day though, enjoyed it.
