D7000 Advantage

By now most of you know of my plans to go to the great western canyons of the United States, a once in a lifetime chance for some incredible photographs. I'm packing (5) 8 Gig Class 10 memory cards to cover the event over a 9 day journey that I hope to capture completely.

My D7000 has the advantage of dual memory cards that can be assigned specialized duty, like HD Video on Side "B" and still photographs on Side "A". I find this a big advantage because I'm also carrying a HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA 250 GIG backup drive to transfer my work on the hard drive. Unfortunately, this drive is only compatible with JPEG & RAW formats, not a problem for Side "A" files but incompatible with the Video files on Side "B". By separating the formats on different cards I can reformat the side "A" cards & continue adding HD video files to side "B" until it's filled.
