Butterflies, A Moth and other insects
A return visit to butterfly world today. Sorry do not know the name of all of them.

Many people are grossed out by insects, its not until you get up close and personal to them you realize really what wonderful creatures they are, fantastic colors and markings, especially butterflies.
So hard to photograph though, especially as many insects are very skittish, trying to image them manually and without a tripod adds difficulty, i do not think they would appreciate me setting up a pod in there though
, not much room, and it does get quite busy, spend half your time tripping over other people

The latest one you've posted is my favourite, as it has that bit more room in the frame. I think some of the others are just a bit congested feeling because you've cropped a little close. Nice set though - and a great opportunity to practice macro!

I cannot always tell what looks tight on crops, the Butterfly hanging off the beam and the 2 caterpillars that have been cropped were taken through glass. The image of the darker Caterpillar had just been cropped down the middle, as in the original image he is on the left hand side as i could not get a decent capture without having the ceiling light reflection on the glass.
Framing i do have to work on really, when i do crop its usually to take things out of the image that take your eye away from the main point of interest.
At the end of the day, that is what it is all about, practice, practice and more practice At this moment in time the lenses i use to do close up and macro serve me well, but there will come a time when i will need to upgrade my current setup if i want to improve my good images and make them breathtaking ones, that day will come, but at the moment, one step at a time
