A glorious day for a wedding - October 11th

After the abysmal weather last weekend, yesterday gave just about the perfect English autumn day for Emma and Alex's wedding. They're a great, great couple and the day was a huge amount of fun. I opted for a pure PJ approach and didn't use flash at all - I really wanted to keep a sense of the time of year, and the light that it gave me. Some of the later evening shots are ISO6400 and f1.8, so dark. For the dance I relied on what the DJ gave me - earlier tests with flash had confirmed that it would kill the ambience of the barn. Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking:

Excellent series of shots. I can see that you have put some thought into the planning of snatchpoints. Even at f1.8 I'm impressed that iso 6400 pictures are not grainy at all given you used natural light.

Re: A glorious day for a wedding - October 11th

Have to be honest I don't normally go gushy over wedding pics, but these are soo special.

Like Clairelou, no13 that genuinely brought a little tear and a smile to my eye, and I don't know them That really is the look of love , they look absolutely loved up,and it is a beautiful thing to be able to capture xxxxx

These are so fantastic, and I love the fact it is so natural, romantic, and unobtrusive
