Lorikeet Preening

These two birds had to be best buds. They took turns preening each other's heads. This is intense.

LOL I heard a funny interpretation of the <3 symbol you used to end a sentence. A viewer of the Ellen DeGeneres Show wrote in to explain that it was a butt with a dunce hat attached.

Nice shot
I picked up the D800 May 12, 2012 from Camera World in downtown Portland, OR. It took them just 7 days for them to get it after I ordered the camera. I cancelled the online order with Camera World which, I discovered, is a totally independent company.

Initially I thought I had a problem with the camera formatting the memory cards until the replacement camera arrived and the true issue, a change in the placement of the "OK" button, was discovered.

I've been enjoying my new D800 for two weeks now and really love the capabilities and design of the camera. The resulting photos, taken so far, have amazing sharpness, depth of color & lack of grain. I have 3 FX lenses, two of which I purchased just before the camera's arrival. They include a 50mm F/1.4D, a 24-70mm F/2.8 & a 70-300mm 4.0-5.6G, all FX lenses.
