Vista House

Vista House sits atop a mountain overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. Below, but on the same scenic highway are 6 waterfalls, one more beautiful than the last. You've got a great view of the sunrise for it's location. It is staffed by Park Rangers and is a huge tourist collector. Goodness, this photo is sharp!

Re: Vista House

Stunningly sharp Bob - lovely light too - perhaps a little tilted to the left? But really love it!

All the photos I took yesterday were designed to test the limits of my new D800. The sharpness question, having basically to do with its focusing system, has been answered. I used Photoshop's straightening software based in one of the window's vertical lines. It's almost impossible to straighten this shot using the naked eye because the buildings outside lines are not vertical. It's also built on a steep, curving road that circles the building. The handrail is not level naturally for this reason. The only vertical lines are in those windows. Be assured I took every precaution to level the shot. Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
