I got an AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G this is the kit lens but I also got an AF-S NIKKOR 55-200mm 1:4-4.6G as part of a deal, although on reflection I should have just taken the kit lens and bought the VR 55-200 version Separately insted.

And 'zoomed in' you get this close:
Of course the beauty about DSLRs is you can get lens that give you WAY more reach
