The Kids through Lightroom 2

Had my 1st go at using Lightroom 2 today, took these pics couple weeks ago in Raw then pp in Lightroom, 1st 5 are the originals followed by the end result!
Its my 1st go so if something don't look right feel free to let me know!
Amazing difference it makes, think I'll shoot Raw in future as I normally only use jpeg.

Re: The Kids through Lightroom 2

That's the thing with RAW - you start with base file with the base info, then you have to go add your own touch to it.

Most people create presets, and then just apply them and tweak a little further.

Personally I like to shoot in jpeg and get the camera to do all the hard work for me

Re: The Kids through Lightroom 2

From my experience, the more you use Lightroom the more you become addicted. Working with Raw files you can push your imagination to the limit when processing them.

Try experimenting with the "clarity" and "vibrance" sliders. I have found that in certain circumstances pulling the Clarity slider back toward the minus side can give a lovely diffuse look to the right image.

The images above show that you have got to grips with basics of Lightroom and they are good examples of what you can achieve when working in Lightroom.

Siman, where you been? I love seeing pics of your happy dogs!

Is that adorable puppy yours? Greedy You have some gorgeous shots of them.Especially 6 and 7.

I love lightroom, and the more you play with it the more fun you have

Re: The Kids through Lightroom 2

I'm a Lightroom fan as well and you seem to have come to terms with it pretty well. Carry on and try all that is available to you, it is surprising what you can rescue if that once in a life time shot gets taken at a disastrous ISO.

Also find working in Bridge interesting offers much the same but somethings are less intuitive and others more so, my very favourite adjustment in Lightroom is the straighten tool, although the Bridge one is good too - I always have to use straighten unless I have used the tripod I seem to live on a permanent lean to the left.

Talking of RAW there is a question I need to ask but I won't grab your thread. Well done with you work and I love your dogs hope to see more and to see them more often.
