Nineteen...n...n...n...nineteen

Ive had these sat on my HDD for about 3 months - eventually got round to uploading some.

I took these as official photographer for the Lancashire Regiment as they prepare to deployment to Afghanistan.

I'll post them in a few batches to avoid dial-up congestion.

The patrol shakes out on the move out from the operating base.

In the defensive position allocation of firing arcs are constantly reviewed and reassigned.

the Senior NCOs attend an orders group and commit enemy positions from map to mind.

laden with kit, the first scout patrol moves out of the operating base into booby-trapped enemy territory.

A Portrait crop on the kneeling soldier in the first photo might make a very appealing capture Jack. I like the second photo for it's strong compositional lines formed by the soldier's arm and their weapons. There's a very sharp focus and good exposure also.
