Nikon D200 Camera firmware upgrade

Just upgraded my Nikon D200 from version A 2.00 - B 2.00 to version A 2.01 and B 2.01

It may just be me, but the photos seem to be better. the colours look more natural and generally definately sharper. That is on a Sigma and Nikon lens.

The upgrade was to stop battery flickering and light bars on photos on some early produced D200 , but mine was ok on these. I suspect there has been a couple of other mods in the upgrade which I havn't yet discovered either camera wise or via the internet.

Has anyone else done any upgrade versions on any camera make via the internet camera web sites and if so was there much improvement in the pictures. Just curious thats all.

List of all firmware updates for Nikon cameras etc.

Re: Nikon D200 Camera firmware upgrade

Azz - it didn't. But I know that with the D300 - whatever you put into it - you get out of it.

Bazza - I personally find by making my own settings - and saving them, I get the pictures I want. That said - Yes, firmware updates can be important - they do not only update image outputs, but also the way the camera interprets capture data.
