First one of Bauchaille Etive Mor was with a tripod.

Also the one of the blackmount taken over the ice as it was about 6:45am. The sun hadn't come up above the hill behind us so we were in shadow but the blackmount hills were catching the early sun. It was so cold that morning - I remember my car (after an hours drive) saying -18C and that was without the wind. Without a tripod It would have been impossible as I was shaking like a leaf and my fingers weren't functioning. That pic was taken just before my foot went through the ice :eek:

Beutiful photos, we where going up to the highlands a few weeks ago but we only got to newton stewart, which we had gone now. Looks stunning

Thought i'd add this one to this thread as it was taken the same day. Hopefully my friend in the frame (a Yo member no less) will forgive me for posting this one but I just liked the way the light was catching the hills in this shot.
