Shiel Bridge & The Five Sisters of Kintail

I know it's a cliche shot but it's just too hard to resist taking a shot when they're not in cloud No tripod etc (hence it's a bit soft) - just a quick snap.

Not sure if it works or not - ended up going B&W as I'd mucked up the white balance and being a jpg - just couldn't quite seem to correct it.

The legend of the Five Sisters of Kintail tells the story of seven sisters, daughters of a local farmer, two of whom married visiting brothers who said they would send their five other brothers for the remaining five sisters to wed. However, no one returned and the five remaining sisters agreed for a local wizard to transform them into peaks in order to preserve their beauty while they waited

Re: Shiel Bridge & The Five Sisters of Kintail

It certainly works for me, very dramatic, love mono shots like this, adds atmosphere.

A tad more sharpening makes it even more dramatic. Did you take any more similar shots Phil?

Cheers folks.

Can't see images in this office (just the wee white box with a red cross) as certain hosts don't get through our IT.

Thanks for the comments and the edit though - from memory some additional sharpening would help.

Dawn - have I any more similar ?

Probably a few hundred or so lol
