Lake Michigan...

Last weekend my hottie and I went to the lake for a bit. The weather has been unseasonably warm for us.

One of the lighthouses

I really like this photo came out with the sun spots because there is the slight ray of light. You can tell me your honest thoughts about it.

Re: Lake Michigan...

The first shot reminds me of a deserted beach.

It's such a large lake it must be like being at the sea side

Re: Lake Michigan...

What a fabulous looking place.

You have to love a lake that you can't see the other side of !

PS

I have a relative that lived close to Lake Michigan.

Re: Lake Michigan...

I love image 1 Mary. A very nice image

I remember standing on the edge of Lake Erie in Cleveland back in 2000, the 1st thought that comes to mind is the size of the lake, it really is like looking out to sea. And Lake Erie is about No4 in size out of the great lakes.

Your 3rd image with the ray and sun spot, there seems to be maybe 2 or 3 rays. A thin ray to the right of the lighthouse, and then one or 2 going across the lighthouse, maybe this one needs editing out, just leaving the thin ray to the right of the lighthouse.

Re: Lake Michigan...

Being originally from South Carolina and always on the beach (real beaches) it was quite a change for me to become accustomed to what people were calling beaches. I fought it for a long time. lol.... Living here for so long now, Lake Michigan is my beach. It's a nice area to visit but I don't swim in it because it is always so COLD and very strong rip currents.

LostinSpace, You know I really like asking people for their honesty because there are so many things that others see and I don't. I honestly just saw the big ray behind the lighthouse. But now that you have pointed the others out....yup, I see them and I thought I liked the one in there but now I think that it's a bit much.

Re: Lake Michigan...

I think sometimes it does take another pair of eyes to see what we do not see ourselves.
I do not think the other ray detracts from the image though too much. But if do think its a bit much now, a little clever editing and the larger ray going across the lighthouse can be taken out, leaving the little one to the right of the lighthouse showing. Still a nice image
