Jols, check the adobe website. There's a free download available for version 7.0 that will allow for RAW editing.

I shoot pretty much everything in RAW - it gives you a 2nd chance to recover those once in a lifetime shots, whether they are over/under-exposed, incorrectly saturated, colour cast, etc...

Only very rarely does the 'perfect' shot come directly out of the camera. I tend to think of RAW and post-shot editing simply as the modern equivalent to the darkroom.
