Remote Triggers - focus?
Not that I plan on taking any lol, but if you're using a remote trigger for self portraits, do they focus too? Or are they like timers that just go off when ready?

With mine you have to hold the button down part of the way to focus, then the full way down to take the shot. I must admit though, when I have used it I tend to pre-focus and leave it on MF.

Yes, mine works like that too, same as the shutter release half way to focus. Only thing I find irritating is the camera's automatic shut down, I forget to change or switch it off and sit waiting for that special bird to land only to find the dam camera has switched off.

Azz - I have a Yongnuo digital remote (MC-N1) I use on the 300 (when I remember)
It focuses, locks focus, can set timed intervals, time delay photos, etc.... all in all a great bit of kit for c£25
I got it from Amazon. I can thoroughly recommend it.
