Canon 7D (latest rumour)
The next camera from Canon looks likely to be a 7D rather than a 60d. The latest specs for this camera are
8fps
18MP (dual Digic 4)
19 AF points
Video
Virtual horizon
6400 ISO
100% VF
(there is still speculation whether cam is crop or aps-h)
If this is true, then is this the end of the XXD line? it sure looks that way to me, I can't see how Canon could produce a 60d not much better than the 50 and certainly not superior to the 7d.
This camera looks very exciting to me and I'm sure to many wildlife and bird photographers, for obvious reasons, the only concern is the increased mp compared to the 50d, has Canon got a new sensor for this 18mp cam, that is looking more likely to have a crop sensor, we will just have to wait and see

When all the 5Dmk11 rumours were flying about, two other rumours kept popping up. They were the 7D, to fit below the 5D but above the 50D.
Also, a 3D rumour kept popping up to fit above the 5D and below the 1D.
In any technology Prices generally fall and features rise. So replacing the XXD range doesn't seem to far fetched.
FF sensors will have to creep down the ranges at some time too.
