Panasonic Lumix FZ18 (my son's just bought one)
Finally I've managed to get Christopher interested enough to buy his own little camera, he's always been picking up mine and playing 
but last night he went out and bought the Lumix FZ18, he said it was what the shop recommended, but I'd never heard of them before, I think I'll have to have a play with it and see what it's like 
(Lets hope he has some money left over for my birthday

They are great cameras! I just recently sold one to get my Nikon. It's a shame that the sensor in the camera is so tiny, as if it had a larger one, I think with it's fantastic leica lens and great Macro and zoom capabillities it would be a professional's choice, for backup to their Canon/Nikon SLR.
