Help: Blending Photos - Matching Colours?

Hi All

I was wondering if/how it is possible to mix two photos together and get the colours of the two photos more alike.

My reason for asking is that I was playing around with a friend of mines picture who is a big arnie fan and this is about as far as I got...

I just cant seem to work out how I can get his head to blend with arnies body in terms of the skin tone/image colouring...any suggestions welcome..

Re: Help: Blending Photos - Matching Colours?

If using Photoshop ............I think you really need to go through a variety of 'manual' steps.

Before you copy the face over - try using the different 'variations' on offer to get the skin tones to match Arnie as best you can.

When you do copy the face over - you want to be looking at blending tools and work as large as you can. Dodging and burning may help. Also - have a play with using two layers and also 'feathering' your selections.

There's no right or wrong way It's just a case of having a play I think.

If you can't get it as good as you want - converting to black and white would hide some of the anomolies.

Re: Help: Blending Photos - Matching Colours?

I would try using layers in PS. You can then adjust the hue, saturation, opaqueness (is there such a word?) contrast etc. on just the layer you have the new face on until you get a reasonable match.
