Step up rings

Never seen these before but they sound pretty handy.

My 'main' lens has a 67mm front thread and I have a few filters for it however my other lenses are all smaller - 58mm or 52mm.

If I were to get a 52mm-67mm and a 58mm-67mm step up ring, would that mean I can use the 67mm filters on all the lenses ?

Re: Step up rings

I have just bought a step down ring and it works a treat, from 67mm to 62mm. Its a Kood stepdown ring and only cost under £5 including p/p, I can now use a couple of filters (c/p +mauve) which I used to have for another lens.

So I can see no reason why a step up ring shouldn't work just as well.
