Again - can't really pick a favourite - all very good.

Re: Ayrshire coast shots

In the pictures there are posts sticking out of the sea, what are they for? Can't be for hump back whales to scratch their backs on can they. Possibly used for hurdles for fish in their Olympic Games maybe? I don't have a clue.

Yes I do its an agility course for crabs.

Re: Ayrshire coast shots

Hi DJ.

I really like number 4 from this set. Not so keen on the others though, with the exception of maybe number 1. Number 2 kinda spoils the set for me as it's a bit flat compared to the others.

Thanks. I photographed Patch at New lanark village a few year ago when I was imaging the falls of the Clyde. I saw him from across the river with his owner, who I then asked permission to photograph him

Did you use any filters?

Thanks samnooshka.

Yes, I used my Hoya cpl (circular polarising filter) for these shots. Either for darkening the sky a little, lightening the foreground or enhancing the reflections.

I used my 6 stop B&W on one shot which I miscalculated the exposure for, unfortunately. 402 sec (6 minutes) I'm certain it would have been worth the wait if I had exposed for the correct ammount of time, as adjusting the EC/brightness in the RAW file revealed a nice image.
