I only shoot in RAW with my D90 and have never had a problem with "stalling" with my 8Gb SD cards but I normally only do single shot if I am shooting birds in flight. I can see why you would need to use jPeg if you are firing off loads of shots at once, but I don't see the need to do so.

I also understand that the better equipment you have to view with, the better the picture will look, but that is only if the picture is right in the first place, and a good picture will still look good on average equipment.
