I've added an iPad to my kit

I finally broke down and bought a 16 gig iPad this week. I really can 't justify it I simply wanted none. I've had it in my hands for about 12 hours now and I'm using it for my Internet browsing and email. I've loaded just one photo for demo purposes and a couple of my favorite music artists so that I have music. Since I don't know the shortcuts yet I entered my contacts in the address book the old fashioned way, one at a time. I've bookmarked all my favorite web sites including YO & the Over50s sites.

I didn't need to load a many photos because hi have access to my SmugMug storage site and can display the photos in portrait or landscape orientation easily. Have I mentioned that I love the IPad's screen keyboard? It's got a soft touch and an audible click like and old fashioned pound it typewriter. I'm not a touch typist but can type using everything, including my elbow if necessary.

The iPad will make it easy to show my friends at McDonald's my latest photos. Of course it also has a Kindle app for reading my books, all very convenient and much larger than my Kindle.

Bob you little spendthrift...lol..

Sometimes it is good to buy something you want rather than something you need.

At least I'm honest this time. I love gadgets and I've been talking myself out of an IPad for more than 6 months. I finally just ordered it and stopped fighting the craving for one. LOL

What's ironic is that I live on much less than most folks could survive on and I'm thriving on it, all because of careful planning and zero debt.
