52 Snaps and ramblings

Start of the year, on my desk examples of the Christmas aftermath just waiting for me to tidy up and add a few more inches to the waist line.

1/

Uploaded a few shots I took at a show I was judging at on the 29th, made a 13 month dog my BOB (Best of Breed) was really taken with him and so was the group judge because she gave him the group. Always satisfying when someone else likes the animal you have given an award to, makes you think that perhaps you do know what you are doing after all the doubts.

2/

Decided to keep this one as it will remind me in the future just how immature the head of a young dog can be. Ah, bless what a popet, he was handles by a young man probably less years than the dog had months he did it very well too although the dogs owner handled him in the group as he, the young man, was busy doing the junior handling competition.

Amazes me when some people seem to scared to give the higher accolade to youngsters! I've judged a few who have been far superior to their elders and just had to give them BOB. Judging in a few weeks time, so that will be fun as it's the first time in this country that I have judged the breed myself and 3 friends imported into the country 17 years ago.

Re: 52 Snaps and ramblings

Gosh what a long wait, I hope you enjoy it, of course you will and I would expect you to get a very good entry. I had no hesitation in my award but was surprised when he took the group, reckon he has a good future.

He was lovely Jols, can't wait to see how he does as he grows up, will be very surprised if he does not make a champion. Have a profile shot of him I have kept as well and I may pop it up it he does well at his next show.

Re: 52 Snaps and ramblings

Nice shots Snapper, must say I really like the one of the dog- especially the composition and the angle the shots taken at. Also like the way you've focused on his eyes ( what lovely eyes he has!) I think the pic works really well in greyscale - I keep looking again and noticing more details that I like. The first shot is making me hungry . sorry for rambling
