HDR Tone Mapping (large files!)

Here's my first go with the Photomatix for photoshop (trial version). All from a single shot converted to 32Bit.

It's just a mess around but I can see me getting hooked on this!!

Re: HDR Tone Mapping (large files!)

Nice work Azz! Do you have the original of the second shot to compare? I do like that one, subtle but effective.

Must admit I was slightly tempted to do a tone map of a church photo I took a couple of weeks ago just to see how it would turn out
Kit 1
Canon 20D
Canon 28-135 3.5-5.6 IS USM
Canon 70-300 4-5.6 IS USM
Canon 100 2.8 USM Macro
Canon 10-22mm 3.5-4.5
Canon 50mm 1.4
Canon 85mm 1.8
Other Kit

Re: HDR Tone Mapping (large files!)

Thanks all Was just a quick mess around, also as they are just a screenshot of the 'preview' I wouldn't say they are properly done.

I've added the originals to the first post for comparison
Kit 1
Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix TZ7

Never I do think some subtle tone mapped images work well, especially of buildings, but most HDR's I still don't like
