I'm soo missing my D300 (despite it being winter! )

I hope they release a D700x or D800 by the summer, or even a D400

If not I might just starting getting some lens I would anyway for use with the D40, and maybe a flashgun to help compensate for not so great ISo performance (compared to the newer camera).

Anyone else waiting on a new DSLR to show up?

I badly want an upgrade on the D700! I don't know if I could ever afford it though, by the time I'd saved enough there'd be another one out!

Happy with my D300 at the moment,saving for glass mmmm lovely shiny lenses

I was about to add, at the moment though I'm happy with my D300s, and am saving for a couple of lenses - so even if it does come out soon, I won't be looking to buy for a long time!

My list keeps growing, I buy one thing, and then realise I need something else it's shocking

I want a macro lens badly, as I really miss my old one I had for my Oly

But, really need to sort out a decent lighting set up, so all money is going towards that at the moment.

I am keeping my D300 till I am really confident in the "ways of the Nikon", and got a couple of really nice pieces of glass then go full frame, so I think it will be awhile

Yes and no. I miss it, esp the high iso performance, but then on the other hand I wouldn't have used it much anyway (the weather!) plus I wish I had more time.

Hope fully by the time I have the time for it I'll be able to get into into it big time - with the whole shebang. I hated not having all the lens and lighting I 'needed'

Least I've got over50sforum done and out the way now. Dogsey still has a new style and then I want to re-do YoP. Once all the sites are done I'll have more time

I am hoping to see a D700s and/or x announcement at the PMA or on February 20th.
