Tulips in my mini studio
Well, not exactly but it got the effect I wanted 
Simply taken quite a distance from a dark background, with the camera flash on

what did you use for background ? i found black paper sheet looks too grey in the image so i been using my black dress at the mo lol

It was.... the back of a green leather chair 
I just put the vase on the dining table and as I was stood up, the 'dark' bit is actually the chair - simply needed slight levels adjustment to make it all black

lol ! that cool ! apparentlly thick black velvet is the best for black background but sadly expensive 
thinking about searching for them in charity shop even if it a very BIG dress lol ! mine too small lol
