What settings do you use ?
When you pull your camera out of it's bag what setting do you have it on ?
Mine is put away in Auto mode (so I can grab it if I see something interesting)....from there I can adjust ISI, W.B etc to suit.
I will use aperture mode normally if I'm at a show all day & the light is good, but I always return to Auto when I put the camera away.
My "friend"
who is a pro photographer twiddled all my knobs on Saturday & I've lost all my custom setting, so today I'll have to sort it all out.

just got mine out my bag, and its set on AV Aperture 1.8 (any guesses which lens i have on it at the mo?) ISO 100.
Can't remember what i was shooting last time i had it out lol. Think it was portraits of mina.

Mine is on Manual, otherwise I will just keep it on Auto, and I am trying not too use Auto anymore
I was shooting thistles in an alley last time I used it, oh the glamour

What ever the last thing I was shooting in 
9 times out of 10 in sports mode or A, but you can bet your life it's never the setting you need when you want it urgently, for that one time only shot

Mine is on auto at dog shows but if I go on a trip to take images then I use what ever I fancy mainly to see what I get, the joy of being a naïve camera operator, see dare not call myself a photographer for fear of contradiction

Mine is normally on Av - I do shoot in Manual but normally only for still life/landscape shots. As a lot of the photography I do is animal/wildlife I don't often have the chance to use manual on these (they will have gone before I finish setting the camera up ).
I don't bother reseting my camera to any specific settings though - it is currently on Av, f5.6, ISO 400, -0.3 (you can try and guess what lens I was using too if you like but it's not quite as easy as Sammy's ).

Mine is most of the time on aperture priority. I hardly use any other modes on the camera, except of manual in some cases.
