Sony owners - how to spot fake memory cards!

When I bought my camera from Amazon, I got it bundled with a 4GB Pro Duo memory stick. I know you've got to be careful about buying such items from eBay, but I figured Amazon was safe (to be fair the memory stick didn't come direct from Amazon, it was from one of the marketplace traders).

Nevertheless, when I Googled to check for solutions for corruption issues I've been having with the stick, I discovered it was a fake thanks to the following guide:

Thanks for the tip BD, it bugs me how so many fake cards are floating around at present.

I suggest anyone who finds they are sold one by a UK company, to report the matter to trading standards - that should hopefully get the retailer in trouble and make them source their goods more wisely

Good tip, will come in handy when I finally get round to getting a new sony card, my 32mb isnt good enough.
