Re: nikon d40 and d40x

I too belong to 3-4 other photo forums and have had camera snobs thumb their noses at the D40 & D40X. I find my D40X an excellent buy with top notch optic kit lenses. Those that enjoy my photos have openly commented on the jump in image quality since I began using my new Nikon. Enjoy your camera. It can last you a lifetime.

Re: nikon d40 and d40x

Some of my best photos have been taken with my D40!! I love the colour rendering on it - still not able to replicate that on my D300. (But I love the manual controls on the D300.)

Nikon 55-200mm VR

Re: nikon d40 and d40x

A word of advice. After you check online check your local camera store that carries Nikon. AFTER I bought mine online my local shop offered it at the same price and thew in a carry bag & lens cleaning kit.

Re: nikon d40 and d40x

Here you go Amazon , very cheap £267 !!!!!
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-D40-Di.../dp/B000KIX65S

Oh I have seen you have ordered , perhaps, see if you can cancel ,as Amazon are almost £60 cheaper, than the company you suggested, plus with Amazon it is a big well known company too, and you could put that towards another lens

Have fun with your new camera

Re: nikon d40 and d40x

Add one more thumbs up from me. I own & use the D40X with the 18-55 & 55-200 lenses. Works for me.
