Snake Vines

On my 200 mile ride today I stopped at a rest area to give my poor butt a break. There were some wonderful shade trees there that had unusual seed pods that looked like snakes intertwining. I kept a shallow depth of field to concentrate on the vines.

That is unusual like a giant pea. How do you like the bike Bob, I do hope it is living up to your expectations.

Nice image, always good from you. I think I may be tempted to tone down the sky. even though blurred it draws my eye.

I don't like it as much as my BMWs. It beats you up physically for rides over 200 miles. The BMWs were good for 600 miles. I made the trade during the worst part of our country's recession in the hope of getting one final new bike I could afford to keep. I gave up too much in that trade. I've modified the new bike to make it as comfortable as possible yet it's still falls short. I'll live with it.

It was bright & sunny the day I took this photo. In order to get such a shallow depth of field I had to open the lens up and jack the shutter speed to 1/3200 of a second. I did add an additional bit of blurring in PP.
