Pods
Here's a photo of a pile of tree seed pods collected off my balcony. I piled them on the outside table and used my micro lend hand held to compose the shot. I love the intricate textures and geometric shapes found in nature's work.

Thats a very nice shot Bob 
The detail and texture is good, but i feel you could have chosen a wider DoF to keep the whole of the pod on the bottom left in focus
