Re: A few shots from Cambridge University Botanic Garden.

I have spent several minutes looking at each one...I admire the sharpness and clear clean colors...I certainly enjoyed all of them..Shirley

Re: A few shots from Cambridge University Botanic Garden.

I love these, especially the first which divides the frame diagonally and sticks the bee in the middle...basically "The rule of thirds is just a guideline..." Nice, clear and uncluttered, crisp focus, nice light, lots of *air* round the subject... I'm taking notes

Re: A few shots from Cambridge University Botanic Garden.

Really like number two Richard.

I'm a sucker for number 4 (Agapanthus) - I love to grow grow those.

Your reds are really good - they often end up a bit nuclear looking.

Thanks Phil.

You said.... Your reds are really good - they often end up a bit nuclear looking.

Is that good or bad?

Re: A few shots from Cambridge University Botanic Garden.

It was a compliment.

Red can often (when captured on a digital camera) look unnatural or overly colourful but these look very good.
