Studio Lighting

Hi Folks I am thinking on buying some studio flash kit. Does anyone have studio lighting ? or can you recomend a starter kit ? as i dont have much of a clue.

As it is a just to play with, dont know if I will even like it.

Have a look at Lencarta, they are good quality and helpful if anything goes wrong.

Even a couple of flash units and some modifiers and stands should keep you within budget

I'd buy one or two speedlights, and a brolly, and a soft box, for now, and probably not even that, just one speedlight and modifier. Learn those inside out, and then spend money on what really want and need. Have a look at strobist website, it's a wealth of information, and if you can get your hands on Zack Arias's One light DVD, to buy or borrow, if it well worth a watch. Also, Joe McNally and his books.
