I must be unlucky, mine always seem to get weighed, or even worse put through the carry on luggage size gauge I don't do backpacks, maybe that's where I am going wrong

Possibly ....I always do rucksacks and they are never interested in it............

Probably think I have my peanut butter sarnies and my mills and boon in there...ha ha

Luke carries a lens or two with his luggage as well.........if I need him too.

I use a hama backpack which is then fitted inside a small trolley cabin bag along with my tripod. We tend to fly with the budget airlines and we will be using Ryan Air when we fly to Tallin this Friday. They use a 'gauge' to check that your carry on luggage complies with their size limits and have a max weight allowance of 10kg. I've never had my luggage weighed, but have heard of people who have.
