Compact Flash Cards?

I have just moved from a camera that uses SD cards to one that uses CF cards.

No trouble thinks I..and trots off to the usual suspects...and..they just aren't there.

Well maybe one option at silly prices..but not competitively.

Why have they vanished from major retailers..is it a cost issue? Why are we looking at mahoosive prices..are they being phased out?

Advice most welcome.

Re: Compact Flash Cards?

Depends on what you want to pay Daisy

You could look here, but use a good UK based dealer with good feedback

Re: Compact Flash Cards?

Warehouse Express and 7Dayshop was quite good for CF cards, from what I can remember.

No, they aren't being phased out, I have no idea why you can't find them in shops though.

What brand were you looking for, I only use Sandisk, and have never had a problem buying them, or the cards corrupting.

Re: Compact Flash Cards?

Thanks Grumps but I have been warned against buying them from e-bay because of an abundance offakes.

Want something that can give me 6 or 8 gig..from a reliable source without a £70 price tag.

and ..goes without saying,..no parcel force as I live on the moon as far as they are concerned.

ETA..Moonie..go look at the shelves.

Empty and not being replaced...everywhere.

Re: Compact Flash Cards?

Weird :/ I haven't looked in some time, and I'm lucky as the D300s has both CF and SD slots.
