RIP Rannoch Moor Tree

Sad to learn today that 'that' tree - seen in far too many photographs of mine not to mention a squillion calendars and books is no more.

Seems the storms of last weekend have downed it.

Oh well - it was a terrible cliché after all.

That'll be the The Rannoch Rowan - safe from those naughty nibbling deer.

As far as I know that's fine and well.

Re: RIP Rannoch Moor Tree

Unfortunately Zounds..Scotland lost a massive amount of trees last week.

What we didn't lose has had branches torn off and gaping wounds are very much in evidence.

You couldn't move on the main Motorway arteries for 8 hours due to debris ( trees) in the road.

Sad time.
