Re: Today was a drag...

...comments are appreciated, I don't mind if people point out what is wrong, I think the first few comments just got up my nose a bit as i have had a stressful week. In what should have been a good week getting an award and a prize, it has turned sour. Can't talk about it for a few days other than to say being loyal and hard working counts for b*gger all in the end. I essentially am a character that gives a lot but I think I often find myself let down that I often don't get the same back. I have just found this out in a big way which is hard to swallow and the consequences of which have given me a lot to consider and worry about this week. Will change my outlook for ever. It shouldn't roll over into the photography but it's amazing that a few comments can just nudge you over the top. Anyway, I don't want to open a discussion until the time is right, but have decided to have few days away.

The picture to be honest I do like most of it but I think in my haste and late evening PP'ing it I missed the grey. The heavy make up etc. is part of the image but I think I could come at the PP in a different way. I have a load more shots from the day but really can't be bothered with PP'ing a few until I have a bit more time. I quite like the pic, yes maybe a few issues but as i always say to others, primarlily the picture is for the photographer.

Re: Today was a drag...

Hey BC, don't let the first few comments get you down - they were based or borne more out of people's own idiosyncrasies/humour tbh, and not a reflection on your work. I'd have deleted them - but got to the thread too late and some replies offered CC and mentioned them - so would have disjointed the thread by removing them (and I have a policy of not editing people's posts wherever possible).

If the thread upsets you I am happy to delete it for you, or delete any posts which you'd rather see gone - just PM me the post numbers if that's what you'd like.

And don't you dare stop posting - I love looking at your work, especially most of the stuff that others wouldn't dare take/post

Re: Today was a drag...

Just want to echo echo some of the other comments.

There's busier Photography places and I know a lot of us visit them but this feels more like a wee community - each reply or comment (I feel) can be tailored to suit because I feel I've got to know people that little bit better.

Whatever you've got going on - I'm sure you've a few folk on here to bounce stuff off.

Re: Today was a drag...

Hope you sort your issues out soon, take care X

Agree with Phil, this is my warm , fuzzy photography place, I actually pay on another forum, to get C&C I wish people would C&C more on here, but then it might lose the little community vibe, if someone didn't want it etc.

Anyway, hope this week is better for you x
