Nikon leather Hand Strap/Grip

Hi,

Does anybody have the Nikon leather hand strap?

What do you think of it, if you do. Just wondering if it will work with my battery grip in place on my D300. just double checking really.

I never use my neck strap,on my neck or shoulder, it is always twisted around my wrist, as I always carry my camera in my hand. So seemed sensible to get rid of the neck strap and get a hand strap instead.

Thanks x

Re: Nikon leather Hand Strap/Grip

Think using it together with a large lens and battery grip would be on the heavy side. Strangely enough I also looked at them on ebay only today but decided against. Also having it in the hand my guess it would be far easier to knock the camera against something or scrap it

This is the grip I'm talking about.

TBH I think it will be a lot safer, than me just wrapping my neck strap around my wrist multiple times. I never, ever use the neck strap, it may be odd, but only ever carry my camera in my hand. My D300, is heavy with either of my wide lenses and my grip attached, but this looks supportive, plus less chance of dropping it.

I find neck straps a hazardI have caught mine several times, so think this will safer

I'm sure its not as sturdy, but read a few photographers recommending this one today.
At that price it might be worth a try.

Re: Nikon leather Hand Strap/Grip

That strap is just for Nikon users who get over excited using a Canon.

Joking aside - I had one but never really used it much.

Re: Nikon leather Hand Strap/Grip

Ordered mine, it should be here today or tomorrow. Must stop ordering stuff though, as I have spent way too much in the last month on Photography stuff.

Phil, don't you start all that Nikon/Canon nonsense

I'm on the fence anyway Moon. No bias.
