BC, if you want models join Models Mayhem you will find plenty of models many who will be willing to either pose for a fee, or someone new who will be willing to swap time time for cd/prints. You can also get access to local Make up artists/stylists on there too.

As for locations, there are loads of old buildings that you can get access to if you ask, check out some Urbex sites, bet there is a group near you too http://www.talkurbex.com/category/explore/locations/, and you don't need fancy studio lights, any flash will do. There's a guy on flickr who only uses a couple of big torches and a speedlight .
