My Niece hates her photo taken so I just had to catch her off guard (hence background lol) at her daughters birthday party...

I can't imagine why she wouldn't want her picture taken, she's a very pretty lady, although she's probably going to kill you if she finds out her pictures on the internet

Not bad work, but not the most flattering angle and lighting perhaps - it looks like you've done some PP which makes her skin tones a little dark in places? I would try to avoid using on camera flash for portraits if you can, but even if you must, try to use an angle that doesn't create the very burned out highlights - and if it does, perhaps try a bit of PP to remove them This is not a bad shot at all though - and she's a very pretty girl!

Thanks Laura I hear what you are saying but this was just basically a point and shoot as my niece does not like her photo done unless she is totally ready and prepared for it, it was taken at a bairns birthday party hence no prep.To be honest could probably of done better if I took my Lumix TZ7 its great for conditions like this...
