These were taken near Bala? I think its' that. Forgive my ignorance but was following sat nav so had little clue where i was!

Your second photo is interesting. Since I now take mostly landscapes may I suggest a change of position & composition.Using the rule of thirds I cropped the scene showing the farm house and foreground. If the windmills were of interest I artificially moved them closer to the farmhouse. The same effect could have been accomplished by walking forward and left about 100 feet, decreasing the angle to include the windmills. Just suggestions.

Intersting idea's Bob, but I prefer my landscapes to be err landscape. I think your crops make them feel a little cramped and I was after capturing the scale of the scene. I most likely failed like but that is what I was after!
