Calm Sunset

Landscapes are not really my thing but sometimes I will try and push myself to have a go.

This was taken in Poole Harbour at sunset.

Re: Calm Sunset

I like that Steve.....beautiful golden tones.

Personally I would crop hard into the bigger boat on the left and then take a little off the right to balance it and concentrate the eye on the sunset. I think solitary boats have a special poignancy somehow and the little boat isn't adding anything for me.

Just my view.

Re: Calm Sunset

I like this I do think that the smaller boat is a little distracting overall, and might be better without, but it's a good shot!

Taking on board what has been suggested above I have cropped this image slightly differently. WDYT

Re: Calm Sunset

I couldn't see anything wrong with the first one. I thought it was beautiful.

Re: Calm Sunset

It was beautiful and the crop is too..it draws the eye toward the beautiful sunset better.

Like it Steve...but ultimitely it's your choice.

Whatever you do though...keep taking those landscapes.
