Shallow DOF Jumper

Seeing as i usually always shoot at f11 for DOF and sharpness i thought i would break from my comfort zone and shoot at wider appeatures.

I wanted to give the impression of a misty/dreamy effect. Taken at f6.3 (The DOF is crazy thin), ISO100, 1/200 and Handheld.

What do you think?

Re: Shallow DOF Jumper

Something like the dof I work with with the raynox very sharp but I think I prefer to see more in focus with the f11

Re: Shallow DOF Jumper

Love them all - love shallow DOF in macro work - think the first is my favourite, though the second would be if all of that leg was in the shot. Last is great too

Re: Shallow DOF Jumper

Another lovely shot and I think you've achived the effect you were after with the larger aperture.

I used to have the MP-E 65mm albeit for a short time and never got beyond using razor thin dof with large apertures as I had no flash set up.
